Almost a perfect pale ale. Finally had a hoppy oat ale that finally delivered. Clear golden color with a inch of foamy head sitting on top. Spicy aroma along with notes of weed, citrus, cut grass, and floral qualities. Must be a blend of hops to achieve this. The flavor is more than just hop water. Nice cereal and musty oat base. But definitely the hops are the headliners. Just a tad overly bitter but nice floral and dank qualities. The body is well rounded which I believe is where the oats really benefited this beer. Nicely carbonated. I could drink this beer all day and not get bored. It has been awhile since MTH blew me away with a beer, this low ABV beer did it.

a very hoppy oatmeal pale ale, perfect for summer, but i would drink this year round for sure. its golden in color, perfectly clear, and holding an inch of lazy white airy head, looks just fine in the pint glass. the aroma is fresh cereal grains, that dusty sweet oat thing, and a lot of leafy green hops that appear fairly bitter. notes of lemon rind and mowed lawn in here. very sturdy beer, the oats add a lot of body here, and there is a substantial heft to the feel that i really like in a beer like this. the hops are almost too much though, oily and citrusy for a second which is cool, but by the finish they are majorly bitter, even at the expense of flavor, and its just a bit more than is needed. still, i like it kind of almost being an ipa, robust and quite different with all the oats in here. i think to switch a little of the bittering hops out for a dry hopping would help this be more polished, but i like the malt base a lot and think the beer is excellent as it stands. i would happily make a day of this one...

Town Hall's Summer Silk arrives a clear golden color. The head is a half inch in height, and recedes into sparse lacing. The aroma is of passion fruit, mango, and has some nice floral notes...very hop forward. The taste rides the hops well too. It is more floral, but retains the juicy tropical fruit notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a silky texture, and spot on carbonation. Overall, this is a super good pale ale that I would certainly drink again.
