On tap at the station. White head. Copper color with a slight ruby hue.
This beer has an old fashioned vibe to it. Bourbon, oak, and some fruitiness. The blackberries blend well with the Belgian base beer. Orange peel and Belgian yeast spices. Toffee and caramel.

not for everyone, this is an intensely flavored beer but a really good one, and something quite unique. a belgian golden or strong pale as a base, with blackberries and lemons and some nice tartness and woodiness to it, robust and unique and well done, also sort of festive for not really having anything to do with the holidays specifically. darker from the tap than expected, not blonde at all rather light amber with a short lazy white head. i smell the lemons ahead of the berries, tart with even a little acidity from them, but not seemingly yeast derived. the blackberries add a little sweetness but not much in the aroma, and there is plenty of wood here, more so than whiskey. belgian yeast is more robust in the flavor than it is in the nose, light spice and notes of apple and pear and white wine, excellent with the fresh lemon, which is very nature and prominent here. the blackberries are ripe and jammy, and cut some of the intensity of the yeast and the lemon, a nice fruity balance is there. its boozy, but it a good way, a little whiskey and a little fusel alcohol, faint vanilla gives an almost icing property to the lemon, complex and delicious overall. these guys continue to innovate in a very unique and special way, i love getting in here for beers!
