Strong milk stout aged in toasted bourbon barrels with unsweetened dark chocolate. Inspired by handmade truffles found on a barrel trip to KY.

750ML crowler split with my wife after a snowy MN March day. It was 60 yesterday. Just like a roller coaster that makes you want to kill you.
The pour is dark brown/light black with the minimal head typical of a crowler. The nose is good chocolate milk with a shot of Jameson dropped into it. That sounds good.
Kentucky Truffle is exactly that: chocolate bourbon milk. Creamy with an offsetting sharp bite of oak. Would be pleasant to drink by the pint.
This isn’t as good as years past, but it’s still a very good beer & worthy entry to Town Hall’s annual BA Week.

Deep ebony appearance, powerfully opaque, slim head, soon gone.
In the nose: Ridiculously rich. Vast. Dark malts fully in charge, with cocoa, espresso, and cream riding hight on top. Vanilla and coconut, with an undercurrent of currants and other dark fruits.
In the mouth: Sweet and creamy, dark and decadent, decidedly delicious. Full body, enormous malt presence, slight hoppiness, barrel delivers hard. Dark fruit, deep and delectable cocoa. Purrs on the palate and lays down deliciousness. Alcoholic warmth washes over and everything is groovy. Aw, man. This is some right-on stuff, here. So big, fierce, full and so very tasty. Incredible.

750ml growler. Fill date marked as '2.21.18'.
Very dark cola brown body, with no back lit highlights. Cocoa brown fizzy head. No lacing.
Aroma is oak and bourbon wrapped with chocolate.
Taste is rich dark cocoa malts, with the addition of oak and bourbon.
Medium plus mouth feel. Okay carbonation (due to length of time in the growler).
A real taste treat, which reminds me of a candy piece found in a sampler box.

Tap version.
This is a milk chocolate bomb. Silky chocolate dipped in bourbon. Oak, cocoa, and a light roast.
Full bodied. Smooth, warming, creamy. Very well done.
