Look: mahogany, good head retention for a barrel-aged beer. Aroma: rye whiskey, vermouth, plums. dates, cherries, oak. Taste: the barrel is very prominent, it's almost like drinking a quality rye (which makes no sense being that bourbon barrels where used), there are a lot of cherries, and some plums in the background. Mouthfeel: full bodied, lively carbonation, silky texture. Comments: This beer is thought provoking, and perplexing. It tastes a lot like a dry Manhattan, and if I hadn't tried it multiple times over multiple day I'd have sworn I'd been given a mispour of Town Hall's Manhattan Reserve beer.

Pours a clear golden copper color. Smell had lots going on with plum, date ,caramel.toffee, some cherry tartness.. Taste is superb with all that is going on nothing fights for dominance.. starts with bourbon and toffee some dark fruits, another layer of cherry and wood mixed with red vine wine. Mouth feel is nicely mixed with the previous taste i described, lower carbonation makes this a sipper to enjoy...Well done.

On tap.
Tan head. Copper color.
This is probably the winner of the week. Amazing bourbon and oak flavors. Vanilla and toffee. Caramel, raisins, dark dried fruits, apple skins, almonds. The wine barrels show, but thankfully it’s in the secondary. Cherry and red wine notes.
This is one of the most complex beers TH has made. Very well done. I can’t find many flaws.
Let this warm up.

Opened a growler on 4-2-20. Held up incredibly. Might even be better. The bourbon and red wine blend together so well. Vanilla, caramel, dark dried fruits, molasses, brown sugar, and oak all around. Wow, just wow. Still one of the best quads I’ve had. 4.85
