Time to get into the Town Hall crowlers! 750ML split with my wife. Second one down, several to go.
The pour is dense black & as with most crowlers, the head falls with a whisper & quickly vanishes. Healthy hit of bourbon in the nose with gentle chocolate. What more do you want?
Double Barrel Extra Milk Stout is all about the bourbon barrels. Bourbon & oak dance along the palate, strong & boozy & sharp, giving truth to the double barrel part of the beer’s title. Smaller flavors include lactose, a deep malty sweetness, with a languid creaminess. Given that the ABV is below 10% I could put away a few of these.
Town Hall has mastered the ability to barrel age beers under 10% while still allowing the base room to breathe & not going full barrel. This is expertly done. Excellent beer.

Thoroughly black, ultimately opaque, slim brownish head, soon disappearing.
In the nose: dense, rich, chocolatey. Whiskey comes in, oak, vanilla, cocoa, coffee.
In the mouth: More rich, more dense, thick and viscous. Immense malt. Sweetness, with a touch of bitter. Whiskey comes barreling in, mixing up with the cocoa and cream. Great balance between sweet milk stout and the barrel-aging effects. Big powerful beer in all respects. Whiskey flavors grow and grow, as does the alcohol warmth.
A tasty beverage that's getting better and better the further in we go.

The best beer at Town Hall Barrel Aged Week 2020. They always come out with an unanticipated beer that ends up stealing the show, and this beer is the deal. Wonderful bourbon flavors melds effortlessly with the sweet stout. A wonderful balance flavor that is paired with a full, chewy body.

Pours a dark mahogany color with a mocha head. Smell has chocolate, and roasted malts with char and bourbon. Smell had more bourbon than in the taste... however the bourbon is beautifully integrated with milk chocolate and cocoa, very warm and woody, vanilla and a nestle quick addition in the finish. Moth feel was creamy ,smooth with mellow bourbon very present in the finish. A superb DB BA stout and easily one of the best releases 2019 from TH.

On tap. Tan head. Black color.
It has a light burnt/char flavor. Guessing from the barrel. Chocolate, caramel, and some bourbon showing. Roasted. Not really finding the milk stout out of this. Fairly smooth, a bit creamy.
Solid, but I was hoping for more.
