Town Hall Dortmunder Lager is a light gold powerhouse that is a great example of the style with ample pils malt, floral and herbal noble hops aroma and flavor with light minerally feel which accentuates the crisp, clean feel. Excellent lager.

2 pints at TH Tap in tall glasses.
L: Served clear yellow gold with light carbo bubbles, a 3/4" frothy white head that has good retention, light lacing throughout.
S: Biscuity malts, grains, "spicy" hops, lightly floral.
T: Taste follows nose and adds light lemon, a hint of caramel, gentle bitterness, lightly pale. Very little after taste.
F: Crisp, med-light bodied with a clean medium-fast dry finish.
O: Excellent tasting, very easy drinking, basically crushable. A high quality beer that is excellent in its style. TH Tap is an excellent place to enjoy beer.

Had on tap. Murky yellow body with a fat finger of pearl white foam. Smell and taste feature a grassy hopped lemon forward dortmunder with the signature yeast and mild cracker malt backing. Crispness is muted but decently pale, sneaky malty feel in the end with the hops dancing, could be drier

L-Deep regal gold with great clarity
S-Grainy malt aroma...touch of spiciness from the hops..
T-Grainy malt...just a slight twang of spicy hops...very balanced
F-Medium bodied...rounded...
O-An old favorite I just noticed I had not reviewed yet. Often overlooked due to the plethora of quality offerings Town Hall provides but this standard is always a great go to beer for a balanced lager with some character.

On-tap at Town Hall Brewery, Minneapolis, MN
A: The beer is clear yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of biscuity malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is dominated by flavors of biscuit malts. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really liked the malty and dry nature of this lager.

Probably my go-to summer beer. Amazingly delicious, refreshing, and under-appreciated, and at one of the most affordable prices out there.

I'm not overly familiar with the style although I love Great Lakes' Dortmunder Gold. This one has similar qualities - basically a malty golden lager with a bit more body than a german pilsner but not as deep in flavor as a Marzen or a Vienna Lager. Still very flavorful though with the clean yet sweet breadiness and a clean balanced finish.

Pours clear golden with minimal head. Smells light with notes of lemon. Has a nice mildly bitter hop taste with a nice dry finish. This is a good representation of style.
