On-tap at the brewpub: Very dark brown with a pale black cast overall when in duller light. Small, light sandy browned firm frothing sits atop. Bits and spots and a few strings of lacing coat the pint glass with a crustyness taking effect after awhile.
Nice coffee nose of milk chocolate sweetness, Frappachhino creamyness, and a fresh coffee bean darkness and roastyness thats very well rounded in every wiff and very freshly present. Nice.
Taste doesn't disappoint as it renders that nose filled air with a taste of very creamy, milken chocolatey sweetness and mildly tanged with creamy cherry notes and a bunch of dark and fresh fluffy coffee roast. Nice rounding drying finish of cocoa fluffed texture and creamy thickness with feathery roasted coffee floating about.
Smooth medium body with an interesting mix of creamy, milky bolder thickness and a unique texture of cocoa/coffee infused fluffyness. Holds its tone and length very well and is mindfull to a chocolate muffin laced with coffee beans.
Much like the Pale ales that this place cranks out, the coffee beers are always great treats to behold and this is no different. Solidly yummy!
