Crowler can. Part of the Barrel Aged Week 2023. No fill date found.
Black colored body, with mahogany back lit edge. Fizzy tan head that immediately disappears. No lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts, oak barrel, chili peppers, and a light dusting of baking spices.
Taste of dark roasted chocolate malts, oak barrel, baking spices (guessing cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves), and a good dose of chili peppers. Chocolate and the peppers linger in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel, with some mouth coating. Some pepper burn on the tongue and in the mouth but moderate in expression. Quiet carbonation.
Chili peppers for sure that make themselves known, slightly sweet chocolate, and the oak barrel that includes some red wine notion. Smooth and rather subtle.

On tap. Chalky brown/black color. Served with no head.
Spicyyyy. Lots of peppers. Smoked peppers. Cocoa and chocolate. Cinnamon. They hit the mark on this one but it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. Whiskey blends in well. Warming in two ways. Mexican hot chocolate. Some vanilla as well. It’s fairly thick. The spice builds and coats the palate. Save this for the last beer of the night.
