On tap. Khaki head. Mahogany amber color.
Oaky with tannin and cocoa notes. Wine barrels provide depth and round things out. Caramel, dark fruits, fig, and toffee.
Surprisingly, this is one of the lighter releases this year at 9.92. It’s a nice switch of things. Complex and very enjoyable. Glad I ordered this one.

Crowler can. One of the releases for 2023 Barrel Aged Week, but no fill date information found.
Ruby brown colored body, with a red wine colored back lit edge. Fizzy cola-type head quickly disappears, but leaves an active surface storm. Later part of the pour results in a interrupted pattern of lacing.
Aroma of plum and fig, with some chocolate and a little oak.
Taste is very influenced by red wine barrel, with flavors of plum and fig. Dark chocolate swirls in and around, along with a woody note. Red wine and dark fruit linger in the aftertaste. Not quite sour but near that realm.
Medium mouth feel. Very dry finish. Good support from carbonation.
The dryness induced in the mouth requires repeated sips to keep the experience going. Lots of dark fruit stewed in the red wine barrel. The chocolate is part of the dryness and tastes close to unsweetened. The fruit is the sweeter part.
