Had on cask. Lighter almost orange tinted brown pour with a beige head. Biscuit, honey, toast, brown sugar, and mild prune in the nose. Taste is damn impressive: boozy almond and more so prune meet the toasty english yeast and honeyed malt, leather and brown sugar dipped date round out. Mild feel for style but nuanced, appropriately dry and lighter

Had been craving some English style beer amidst the sea of haze and happened to stop in at the TH tap to meet a friend…lucky me. If only it had been on cask. Maybe not quite as dense and mellow as would have been ideal, but this still delicious. Kind of dark honey gold color, dense but not cloudy. Biscuity (but pretty firm and rich) malt, maybe a little honeyed malt, too? Toffee sweetness, but not too much…fairly hoppy for the style, in a sticky and slightly sweet herbal way…very modest bitterness. Substantial and rich mouthful, without being heavy. Really good.

On cask. Creamy off white head. Lace. Clear copper bronze.
Malty, biscuity, toffee, and caramel notes. Maybe some honey toast. Floral and grassy. Sweet with a little bitterness. More sticky hops in the finish.
Another enjoyable beer in the Browns series. I appreciate the UK beers, especially when they are on cask.
