This beer is the Chili infused version of the Smoked hefe. This is not to be confused for the Chili-hefe which is the chili infused version of the hefe.

Pours a light white head. Color is a hazed dark golden orange.

Aroma: Massive amount of chilis. Huge spices. A bit of smokey malts. No hefe flavors here at all. Very unique. Smells like bazooka joe bubblegum.

Taste: Some spices mixed with the chile pepper spiciness. Bananas and cloves with a little malt showing. Very hot. Very spiced. The smokey flavors blend in with the chilies.

Mouthfeel: Dry and spiced. Medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends hot.

Overall, a very unique beer. I couldn't drink much of this. However, it did have some awesome flavors. Worth a try if you get a chance.

Enjoyed (?) on-tap @ the Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery in Minneapolis, MN in a $9 Flight tasting. Tapped from the Clock Tower tap handle but not sure of the logo or tap handle style (moved into pool room) into a 10oz Short Stange Glass.

Aroma- Strong chilis from the beginning. Overpowers everything and leaves nothing left to hint at... Not even a smoky aroma!

Appearance- Received with no head at all but I'm not worried about it. Has lemon color body and very clear. No lacing left afterwards.

Flavor- Strongest spice and chili taste. Can't handle this as a Hefe! Wheres the lemon twist, the grains, the malt, the sweetness, the dry finish, the... Weak..

Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, Carbonation tough to determine, and has tons of spice and chili afterwards.

Overall Impression- Very tough to drink but GLAD it was my last of the night... Killed my palate.. Tt would have been a greeat chili beer I think but not a Hefe. Can't recommend this but if you are to sample, have this as your last brew of the night!

A: cloudy amber/golden color with nearly no head.

S: chile, maybe some smoke.

T: chile, that's it.

M: a little lacking in carbonation, but that might make this even worse, so the smoothness may balance it.

O: gross. Never again. Why would they do this?

Served in a goblet, a hazy straw yellow color with a moderate head of light colored foam.

Smells of grilled pepper. Quite smokey with a touch of wheat and spice.

The taste is phenomenal. They used Poblanos in this which are probably my favorite pepper. So much flavor. This tastes just like a grilled green poblano. Very smokey, green and delivers some moderate pepper heat in the back of the throat. A nice smoke flavor in the finish.

Very smooth, but dry. Nice carbonation feel. A light body.

It's not very often that you run across a beer that stands out from the crowd in a huge way. This one does that. This probably is not a beer for everyone as indicated in previous reviews, but it really worked for me. I could drink a couple of these with ease. Wish it were in growlers, because it would be amazing with some mexican food.
