Appearance: clear, clean, amber, slight white head.
Aroma: lightly hoppy aromatics. Matched well with malt, minor bitterness, major fruity esters.
Taste: Interesting and complex in flavor. Hop forward, with an intriguing mix of fruity association, apples, apricots, white grapes, with an astringent hop texture that never quits. Body is medium, with a long, bittersweet finish. Again, I'm missing information, but it seems like it's about 5 to 6 percent ABV. A delicious pale ale, for sure.

a nelson hopped pale ale, and a darn good one. its unique in that it has quite a malt profile to it as well. so often these more tropical type hops get wheat or pils or pale two row base malts and thats about it, they are kept intentionally light to not let the caramelized sweeter richer grain distract from the nuances of the hops very much. i love hoppy beer like that, i often regard it as my favorite type, but i like this too, and it takes a little more understanding as a brewer, but what a charismatic brew that has a kind of flavorful balance i have not often seen in hop forward brews. its copper in color, obviously some crystal malt happening in here, which when i first look at it turns me off, i think it will cover up the nelson, but how wrong i am. the nelson blasts through the bready grain with all of its glory, definitely on of my favorite hops, so distinct with passion fruit and white grape and pineapple. you wouldnt think that complexion would work so well with a sweeter, almost english pale type grain base, but it does! the flavors are all there, this is a really bold but also highly drinkable beer, and a cool showcase of just how versatile the nelson can be. it has a surprisingly light body for its color, which i think helps, and although the balance breaks down a little as it warms up, this recipe is genius and unlike other beer in the market. this was easily my favorite beer here at the town hall.

This beer arrives a clear ruby red color. Th he head is one inch of solid off white foam that recedes slowly leaving sticky lacing along the sides of the glass. The aroma is very fruity with a ton of cherry and grapefruit, and some nice pine in the background. The taste has a similar fruitiness with a nice firm bitterness jn the finish. There is also a pleasant mild earthiness in the background that adds depth to the flavor. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, and a velvety texture. Overall, this is a really good beer that I will be certain to order again.
