The cherry translates with volume in every aspect of this beer. A dark coffee brown body produces a thick rose colored head.
Massive cherry juice, plum, caramel and cocoa.
As is the case with other infusion beers, the fruit addition is right in the forefront. Cherry pie plays well against what, at this point, is hardly a wee heavy. Roasted malt flavors, mellow barrel characteristics and bright cherry notes coexist in a delicious way. Caramel and brown sugar, chocolate cake, molasses.
So good. I don't know what the Hoops secret is, but these fruited variants never cease to impress me.
