This is different than the other Kolsch listed for YH.

From the description on their website:"This Kolsch recipe won the best of show award at last year’s Byggvir’s Big Beer Cup homebrew competition held at the Renaissance festival. Developed and brewed by Tim Roets, Tim came in to brew this beer with Mike Hoops in July. We will be submitting the beer into the GABF Pro-Am category."

This should stand a great chance at winning that competition. To put it bluntly, this is the best Kolsch I have had. Summit Unchained would be #2 and Mankato #3.

Light golden color....great clarity..lacks any head but poured from a growler so take that with a grain of salt...I will just dock it slightly on the score..

Body is crisp, clean and highly drinkable...

Awesome grainy aroma with floral hops evident..

The taste is features a grainy/honeyed maltiness combined with floral hops and just a hint of some spiciness from the hops..

As close as you can get to a 5.0 beer for me these days...I had a much better review but lost it some how when I tried to enter it.
