On cask at the brewpub, a whisky barrel version of the Irish Stout...
Nice pour, black with a very nice composing head of 1/2 an inch of rising suds. Aroma is lighly brown sugar with lightish coffee. Flavor is fine but not much different than the McHugh's, emphasizes java notes and roast. Possibly a tace of smokiness but none of the barrel sugars seem very apparent. Soft finish (slightly watery) but good cask-conditioned mouthfeel overall. Drinkable enough, not a lot in the excitement department.
