Dark brown color with a substantially large head produced from that wondeful cask pull that sticks around the entire glass, lacing in super sticking webby sheets. Aroma is soft of chocolate roast and a bit of melon-like sweetness. Taste has a nice calming melon sweet front dusted with chocolate, midway turns to more of a slightly roastier tone within the chocolate, great subtle turns within the chocolate throughout. Soft, supple, yet giving malt base. Stable finish thats quickly resolved and eagers you to take more in as the flavors continue to intrigue sip after sip. Solid feel, on cask this comes across much cleaner with a nicer creamyness then most of the casks I've had at GW over the years. Very smooth, clean, and quaffable!

On cask at the brewpub...
Deep chocolate brown appearance, hazy. Big head of 3/4 of an inch to begin. Laces in crystalline sheets. Malty aroma -- brown sugar and a light sense of apple freshness. Creamy with a pale chocolate impression and a good amount of fruit, fleshy peach and juicy. Staunch finish, keeps its creamy mouthfeel but takes on a molasses tone that works well with the minimal but noticeable hopping to keep the beer out of cloying territory. Slight sense of alcoholic heat. Well done, might be the new brewer's first attempt at something new. One of the better beers that Great Waters has done.
