Apperance is a nice cloudy yellow pour with a nice white head that leaves pretty quickly.
Aroma is great they put lemongrass in this beer and they must have added some late because it gives a great sweet lemon arom on the nose.
Taste is very similar, not much going on for hops, but there is a nice light caramel backbone to go with a nice subtle sweet lemon flavor (not bitter at all).
Mouthfeel is a nice wheaty, thick feel, and it is very well carbed. extremely drinkable beer and I want to brew with lemongrass now, they must add this in different increments to get this kind of charactor.

On-tap at the brewpub: Solid looking dark gold hue with a shimmering light clearness with darker hazed receding edges. Cap is beige-like and puffy, standing about a finger high and staying for a good while before fading to a solid collaring and light broken skim. Lacing is light and patchy with foggy strings and spotting.
Aroma is down right beautiful! Wow, the lemongrass is majorly held on top with a lovely aroma adding what is the element of captavation here. Quite perfumed with the lemongrass herbal tones. Reminiscent of lemon meringue pie mixed with some Key Lime pie filling. Light bready tones underseige the lemon hold as does a frothy full oat cookie dough fluffyness. Fresh and invitingly nice to wiff in!
Taste is just as nice. Very solid lemongrass flavors take front stage immediately. Light herbal qualities as well as oaty characteristics take place all throughout its tasting. Earthyness pursues into the finish with wet dirt and sand notes flaoting across the left over lemony tones and baked oats. Quite a nice treat. Very flavorful. The lemongrass is by far the best thing about it as is its peculiar balance between the oats and malts.
Feel is about medium with a smooth creamyness to its nature. Perhaps a nudge more carbonation could help it become full on wonderful to the senses, but as is, its still remarkably clean, refreshing, creamy, and smooth. Slides right down without much effort. A fantastic and unique brew from GW. One to come back to and venture out for.

What a crazy beer. Pours a clear light orange color. The smell and taste are really what gets me. A fruity lemon taste is very prominant in the nose, an dthe smell and aftertaste are very reminiscent of herbal tea. I could had maybe one more pint, but it's interesting flavor, which also had some licorice notes to it, could've gotten old fast. Very tasty.

On tap at the brewpub...
Clear burnt orange color, nice shiny bright head of about 1/2 an inch. Lemongrass gives a sort of Key Lime Pie impression to the nose. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation, slightly slick in the mouth. Another interesting flavor profile, sweetened fruit, almost like Fruit Loops with the lemon-lime soda profile coming through. Finishes with chalky huskiness and pretty-well pronounced vanilla flavors. The texture works really well here, this is like a Viking Twisted Lime that actually has elements that work as a beer. A bit odd but an interesting brewpub beer.

This beer is an "Oat Ale" brewed with Lemongrass. I had the hardest time categorizing this beer. So "Herbed/Spiced Beer" it shall be...for now anyway.
Dulled bronze appearance. Haze is evident. Slight beige head leaves sparse lace. The nose is quite fascinating and intriguing. The citrus tones from the lemongrass are the most evident, but there is also some herbal, earthy, muddy malt tones too. I really like the smell. The body is better than medium and the mouthfeel could use a little bit more of a prick of carbonation to it. It's actually pretty lacking in this area. (That could be due to a poor fill on the growler though. They need to be filled higher.) But the taste is spot on. When I heard Oats and Lemongrass, I thought it to be a bit of an odd combination. But damn if it doesn't fucking work. It tastes great. It's a quenching beer in a different kind of way. The bright citrus tones are countered with sweet malts and muddy earthiness. Quite the unique beer and quite enjoyable.
I may just need to invest in another Great Waters growler soon. This new brewer is putting out some nice shit.
