Malt and floral hop notes in the nose, almost perfumey and has a flowery taste with a touch of toasted malt – biscuit. The hop bitteress balances nicely with the malt.

Cask pulled pint directly from the Brewery while in St. Paul.
Poured slightly hazy, orange color with an off white head. Foam lasts forever, leaves thin coating of lace.
It smells of some caramel, and lots of floral and leafy hops.
Taste of biscuity malt, followed by grassy bitterness.
Mouth feel is smooth, a bit creamy, but still crisp and not sticky.
A good example of a cask English Bitter.
Not everything has to be over hopped, or tons of big flavors and extras. Nice to have an easy drinking ale once in a while. And paired great with the house made Bac-n-Beer nuts

A - Poured a hazy, orange color with a two-finger, off-white head of pillowy, soft foam. It left sheet of sudsy lace on the glass.

S - It smelled very floral with some sweet caramel.

T - It tasted of biscuity malt with sweet caramel. It had a floral, grassy bitterness.

M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A light bodied ale with a dry, clean finish.

O - This is a pretty nice English Bitter. Nice that they have it on cask.

I had a pint of this on cask & it was described by the server as a mild brown. The beer is an almost opaque brown with a very creamy tan head.

The nose is of gently toasted malts and a bit of fruit.

Served at cellar temp, the beer leads with some lightly roasted malt, something a bit earthy and woody and finishes with some brown sugar and plum.

The mouth is soft and creamy with low carbonation. This would be easy to session; I found it hard to believe it was 5.2 percent.

This review is being completed from notes and I know that as of last weekend this was not on cask at Great Waters.

Dark gold to light brown in color. The head is thick and creamy. There are some banana hints in the nose. The attack is smooth and and easy. I get froth in the mouth as I sip which is enjoyable since you don't really get that sensation with all that many beers. There seems to be perhaps a fruity hint somewhere in there. The flavor I would call balanced and easy to drink. Not much aftertaste. Nice mouthfeel, as usual with the cask offerings at Great Waters.

a: pours a nice copper color with a tan head about a quarter of an inch high that does not fase through the entire tasting but leavings a nice sticky aroma around the edge of the glass as the beer level inside of the glass drops
s: nice sweet malt backbone with piny floral hop bitterness
t: sweet malty bisuity flavor with a piny a nd floral hop presence that allows this to be a very well balanced brew
m: medium bodied beer with a little carbonation

overall, i really enjoyed this and will be stopping in again

Called "Fire House Ale" on the chalkboard when I visited today. I assume these are the same.

Bronze amber color, nice creamy head.

Scant aroma.

Smooth throughout, ultra-creamy, rife with flavors of green apple and malt. Faintly hoppy. A touch of sweetness. Medium bodied, light finish.

Supreme drinkability. A fine bitter from the cask.

On cask, served by my buddy Jon (give him good tips:), poured a wheaty copper color, with a real good head that lasted quite a while, and nice lacing. I don't know if its just cause I'm at a bar, but when I'm at a bar, I never smell much of the beer. Same thing here, not much aroma, but I could pick up the malt which I thought was a bit wheaty. (thought that a little wierd, could've been the environs) For some reason I was expecting more from this beer, but didn't quite get it. Good bitterness as per the style, but also a grainy and a smidge of sweetness. Mouthfeel was nice, and is a very drinkable beer, a better version of its predecessor (from what I remember of it).
