a: pours a dark brown color very dark for an ipa but looked very inviting. Had a cloudy character to it as the carbonation raised at the head. The head was about a quarter inch high with a tan color and did not disapear throughout the entire glass, lots of lacing on the edge of the glass as the beer dissapeared from my glass
s: strong aromas of piny and citrusy hops mainly lemons. there are subtle hints of the sweet malt backing to balance the aroma of the bittering hops.
t: a nice sweet malt flavor initially but it is very well balanced when the hop bitterness hits the tongue, there are lemon citrus and pine flavors, a very nice tasting ipa
m: medium bodied beer with a little carbonation
overall, this is an amazing brew and i enjoyed it a lot

Served on cask, this pours a beautiful clear burgandy color, with a substantial white head and ample lacing on the glass. While it is a bit dark for an IPA, I find it most inviting. The smell is of piney hops. The taste is strongly hoppy, with pine and a hint of lemony citrus flavors. There is a fruity malt backing. The mouthfeel is rich and smooth, befitting a cask ale. Although I generally prefer IPA's that are more on the citrussy side, I find that I really like this beer. This is another fine IPA from Bob at Great Waters.
