Black color with a tan head that shows good retention. I have added this beer as the "oak aged" version is nowhere on the list on this site. Some oatmeal and light roasted notes on the nose. The mouthfeel and body are very light for a stout and it almost seems to be to the "dry" side of the spectrum. I believe I can read some of the oak late in the flavor presenting as a combination of a little booze with little sensation of a "young" or "green" age-able drink. There are some light smoky sensations and nice roasted flavors. If I am not crazy, or reading it into the oak there seems to be a bourbon like quality coming to me. The body and mouthfeel are a little lighter than than the flavors. It allows you to get a good read on the beer however.
