Appears a hazy golden yellow in the glass. Thick, foamy head that follows the beer down the glass. Smells of wheat, lemon and a touch of honey. You need to breathe deeply to get it, though.
At my first sip, I thought it was going to be too sweet for my liking, but the sweetness was replaced almost immediately by a thick, malty flavor that lingers on the tongue. The honey flavor is there, but just barely. Very light beer, with a smooth finish. Good for a hot summer day, for those who like the style. I won't be ordering it again.

On-tap: Color is a cloudy pale yellow, lighter at the bottom with a pencil width high head of tight white foam that fades slowly, leaves light minimal lace. Smell is very light lemon and wheat grain, barely noticeable, takes some big wiffs to get anything. Taste is also light lemon and mild sweet wheat, with a light soft bready malt playing near the finish which is nice. Fairly lighter body and texture, smooth and clean, minimal lingering crisp dryness ends it off, which makes it quite drinkable in the hot summer days. Went down easy enough but the flavor palette and aroma needed a boost. Typical brew from Great Waters.

On tap at the brewpub...sometimes billed as "Hold on to Summer" American Honey Wheat...
Hazy gold color, not very bright. Head forms, re-groups, and vanishes. Served too cold to smell much -- a little cinnamon and clove. Malty but slight esters are hidden by a heavy sweetness. Not a lot of honey flavor per se, but the flavor is overwhelmed by a sugar syrupy sense. A speck of lemon. This brew is a little heavy-bodied to be very refreshing to me, it seems to me that the proportions need some adjustments.
