Served on tap at the brewpub, this ale pours a clear pale amber color with a scant white head and minimal lacing on the glass. The smell is faint and hoppy. The taste at first is all hops, mostly pine. Eventually a slight malty flavor makes its presence known. The mouthfeel is quite light, befitting a classic English Bitter. I would like to taste this on cask, as it is hoppier than the usual cask Bitter here(the House Ale). Because of the light mouthfeel and low alcohol content(5% abv), this is an easy drinker and a nice sessionable ale.
