A decent if not outstanding mild. Made with Maris otter barley, white winter wheat, rolled and malted oats and adds a touch of brown malts for toasty flavor

A - Poured out a cloudy orange color with a one-finger tan head of bubbly foam. It left some sudsy lace on the glass.
S - It smelled very sweet with malty notes.
T - It tasted roasty with some earthy/grassy hop bitterness. A touch of caramel, too.
M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A light bodied ale with a dry finish.
O - This is a nice English-style ale and a rare style.

Served up in a pint glass a clear dark hued brown. The head was of course creamy and rich from the cask. Some nice lacing to boot.
The smell is a little bit light, but caramel notes and some light hops poke through.
The flavor is outstanding for such a small brew. Lots of malty nuances like caramel and toffee are present, but there are some nice orange peel and bitter hop notes as well. Very tasty and very impressive.
Feels like a cask brew should. Silky smooth and soft. Actually feels closer to a medium body for such a low alcohol beer.
Really, really enjoyed this one. So much going on for a low alcohol beer. I would like to see this one stay on a regular basis. Can't beer a full flavored, yet low alcohol beer and they are few and far between these days.

On cask at Great Waters Brewpub. This beer arrives a dark brown color. The head is one inch of dense white foam that receded extremely slowly leaving rings of lacing all the way down the glass. The aroma is of toffee, caramel, and nugget. The taste is similar to the aroma. For such a small beer alcohol wise this one packs a lot of flavor and aroma. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a silky texture, and appropriately low carbonation from the cask conditioning. Overall, this is a really good beer that I will surely drink again on later visits to the brewpub. I could honestly drink this all afternoon long without getting bored.
