Different from the Yuletide Abbey Ale. This is brewed with ginger root, Curacao orange and spices.
A - Poured a clear, copper color with ruby highlights. It had a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left minimal lacing.
S - It smelled of ginger and orange. That's about it.
T - Too much ginger. It was overpowering. There was a very muted orange flavor and some other holiday spices.
M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A medium bodied ale.
O - This had too much ginger for me. I can appreciate it small doses but this was too much.
