A deep color paves way for this strong, full bodied German dark lager. Obvious toasted flavors balance out this well-rounded ‘meal in a glass’ and aid to the drinkability and complexity of this classic doppelbock.

Had on tap. Crystal clear chestnut brown pour, khaki ring. Gooey caramel malts with toast and slight booze in nose. Taste is the same but with a hint of cocoa, more potent through the whole interaction. Feel though is a touch boozy for the style without it being intentional with a barrel, breaks up the maltwork a little as it warms, otherwise smooth and sneaky heavy. The wife liked it
