Imperial beam me up stouty on tap at the brewery, poured into a Nonic pint ($5.50).
A- Near jet body with a thin, brown head. Not a lot of retention, but decent stick was left on the glass.
S- Big chocolate, vanilla, and coconut throughout. Roasted malt comes out later on with some warmth.
T- The chocolate, vanilla, and coconut from the aroma come through in the flavor as well. Some maple syrup-like sweetness comes out in the finish as it warms.
M- Full body. Residual sweetness kind of coats the mouth. Thick and creamy.
O- Initially I was really wowed. However, it got a little too sweet in the end. A pint is probably right for a sitting. My wife loved it. A decent sipper. I suppose it was listed as a sweet stout.
