We'll go ahead and make the bold statement, this oatmeal Stout is the G.O.A.T. There's nothing that could compare to its rich, creamy, flavorful body. Pair of that with a roasted finish and thick white head, you've got a winner. Everyone has an opinion on what's the best of the best, but before you can decide, you'll have to crack open this can and it take a taste for yourself.

Poured a 12 oz can into a 'Be Hoppy' pint glass with the nucleated hop design at the bottom that allegedly enhances the experience. Also, I don't know what nucleated actually means. Lots of little dots? Lots of little dots made by nuclear lasers made of antimatter?
Hey, this is good beer. Chocolately and smooth with very low carbonation. I think the nucleated dots are supposed to enhance the carbonation. Does that mean I used the wrong glass? I did, didn't I? I've got boxes of beer glasses stashed in the basement that haven't seen the light of day in eons and here I am using the wrong damn one like a philistine.

June in Pennsylvania but bought a variety pack of stouts at Bound Beverage in Warrington, PA
Pours a jet black, totally opaque color. A two finger dark beige color head that fades to a skim. Nice lacing left on the glass.
Very nice aroma of coffee and roasted malts.
A very tasty stout. Flavors of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Easy drinking.
Thinner consistency, mild carbonation.
Overall, a good, middle of the road stout. Very well crafted and I really enjoyed it. Cheers!

Appearance: Pours a nearly completely black color with a moderate dark tan head. SRM of 23. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of smooth milk chocolate, some cream, vanilla. (4.25)
Flavor: Strong and rich flavors of milk chocolate, cocoa, cream. Smooth and malty. (4.25)
Feel: Medium to heavier bodied, average carbonation. Soft, smooth and sweet, malty mouthfeel. (4.50)
Compared to Great Lakes Ohio Oatmeal Stout 2/2023: Pours darker, milder, but darker head. Stronger aromas. More milk chocolate, cream. Less bitter coffee roast. Sweeter and maltier with more rich chocolate.
Compared to Founders 3/2023: Milder aromas. Pours with a darker, larger head. More milk chocolate, oats, cream. Less dark chocolate and roast. Smoother and softer.
to Spiral Hard Left 3/10/2023: Pours similar, milder, darker head. Milder aromas. More milk chocolate and oats. Less sweet cream and hazelnut flavors. Milder and less sweet.
Overall: A great and rich Oatmeal Stout. Slightly heavier ABV, but makes up for it with the rich milk chocolate flavors and smooth, creamy body. Incredibly flavorful, heavier, smooth and creamy. Sort of Reminds me of Founders Porter. (Rating: 4.36)

I poured a Saugatuck The G.O.A.T (The Greatest Oatmeal Stout of All Time) Into a pint glass. A deep dark brown brew floated a one inch head, that dissipated quickly. Minimal lacing, moderate carbonation. The nose is pleasant... nutty, earthy, sweet, salty and malt notes are present. The taste is bold, reminiscent of a standard oatmeal stout, with strong coffee and roasted peanut flavors. The 6.5 ABV adds to the solid mouthfeel. The only negative to me is a prominent bitterness on the aftertaste, but the brew itself is robust and satisfying. I am a fan of this oatmeal stout from Saugatuck Brewing.

Calling this the g.o.a.t. is not a "bold statement" it is a joke... it was mean to be funny right? Medium black body, brown tinting and head. Smell is a tsunami of coffee grounds and roasted malt, no nuance or complexity. Tastes adds burnt oatmeal and bitter dark chocolate, some ash tray emerges as it warms. Feel is roasted to the max yet somehow it lack the oatmeal creaminess or the robust nature of the roast. Disappointing because hoping for a good throwback coffee oatmeal stout, instead of the all time champ we got the all time chump

Poured into a tall clear pint glass. Appearance is jet black with no light penetration, brown head about a finger thick. Decent retention and good lacing.
Aroma is pretty straightforward. Roasted malt, oats, coffee, dark chocolate, some coffee, milk, and vanilla.
Tasting some roasted malts and coffee the easiest, can maybe briefly taste a little lactose upon a sip but overall not really sweet compared to hoppy and roasty notes. I can also taste a little molasses but that's about it. Body is medium-light.

Black in color with no penetration to light. There’s a fingernail of brown around the rim. The aroma is of creamy oatmeal. The aroma is of oatmeal and bitter coffee. I’m tasting bitter coffee and oatmeal. The mouth is smooth and creamy.

does not stand up to it's name = it is a smooth oatmeal stout - but very mild for a stout

Picked this up recently at ShopRite Liquors in Parsippany, having never had this before or having even heard of Saugatuck. Been a while since I had an Oatmeal Stout as this hit all the right notes and checked off all the proverbial boxes, even if it wasn't anything overly impressive or groundbreaking.
To no one's surprise, this had a dark pour to it with a moderate tan head that settled quickly. Only a few scattered bubbles were left behind as the lacing was nearly nowhere to be seen. Oatmeal, coffee, milk and dark chocolate, and a hint of dark berry filled the nose as the taste was balanced, somewhat slick, and not overly filling. A lively carbonation kept this light as I was expecting this to be a bit more chewy and cloying. I could have easily mistaken this for a Coffee Stout, but that wasn't a knock on this beer as it didn't last in my pint glass for very long.
Hard to detect the alcohol in this as it would have been easy to crack another can open after finishing this off. Dated 9/16 on the bottom, there wasn't any sediment in this or on the bottom as it felt and tasted fresh. More flavor in the taste and a bit more body would have made this great, but it as it turned out, it was still closer to being the G.O.A.T. than a goat, as this was fun to relax with. Worth a go once for those who enjoy the style...

12 ounce can, canned on 09/16/20, guess this one was only available in their 2020 stout pack. Thanks to my friend Denis for this brew! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around a while. Good amount of lacing. The brew smells like roasted malt, oats, chocolate and some coffee. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some molasses too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. Being the GOAT is up to debate for sure, but this one is a tasty brew. Glad I got to try this one!

Purchased in a mix-6 situation, 12 oz can, presumably from a broken six-pack or stout-series mixer. Pours a solid brown/black with a fading chocolate lacing. Well balanced. Mite on the coffee side. Well done. Would revisit.
