Cut the drama. Let’s get right to the point. This Russian Imperial Stout has been brewed in honor of 15 year anniversary. What makes this beer so special? It’s the DOUBLE version of our Dramanatrix - ringing in at 15% Alcohol By Volume. To top that off, we made it even more risky by aging it in Bourbon Barrels for 15 months. Tread lightly. There is no safe word.

Bought a 4 pack and sent most of them across the country. Finally drank mine.
Poured espresso black with a very short lived brown head that almost completely covered the top. Of course it is 4 years old and had been in barrels for 15 months before that.
The aroma was strong enough that I could smell it, and my sense of smell was damaged by Covid. Dark fruit and coffee and chocolate. Oh man.
The taste started there and went on, and on. Vanilla and plum and caramel. Oh yeah, a little bourbon too.
The feel is viscous and smooth, excellent.
OA, well dang, now I am out of them.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours jet black with a very thin layer of light brown head. Nose is chocolate, bourbon, brown sugar, vanilla, plums, molasses, black licorice, and graham crackers. Really nice!

The taste is fantastic. Smooth bourbon, milk chocolate, molasses, maple, bread, slight hoppy bitterness, some nice dark fruit. Vanilla, almonds, and a hint of blackberries. Really tasty!

Mouthfeel is nice and thick. ABV is detectable, but not overpowering at all. Overall, a fantastic BA stout!

Other reviewers show this as being from a can, mine was on tap. Chocolatey, reminded me of a Port wine in texture and kind of that way in taste. Comparable to Wootstout 2018 in almost every way. Hides the ABV nicely, smooth drinker, but at the same time difficult to pick up on other flavors. Would totally get this again and hope I find it in a store.

This is a great beer .. Pours like used motor oil ...

Chocolate and caramel with a smooth hit of bourbon mid sip, velvety mouth feel , super rich and hides the abv easily ...

This one could get you in trouble.

Poured from a can into a Two Brothers Snifter.
Beautiful, very dark brown, with a small brown head that fades to a ring.
A little whiskey on the nose and some dark fruit a hint of baking cocoa.
A bit of chocolate, a hint of dark fruit, roasted malts, and just a hint of bourbon.
It has a smooth creamy feel, and it has legs.
This is one fine beer, maybe I'll go try to some.

Deep, dark, opaque color with a nice brown head on the initial pour. So far so good from a Russian imperial. Bourbon smell is strong, as well as the stout, but outside of that my nose isn’t sophisticated enough to make out anything else. Tastes similar to BCBS, but a bit more boozy on the aftertaste with a slightly wackier mouthfeel. Overall a great beer that I would definitely recommend and have again myself next time I come across it.

Sampling a cellar temp 12 oz can poured into my snifter. this beer is part of a swap with @Whyteboar, Thanks man!!
The beer pours a pitch black color with a fizzy tan head foaming up 1 cm. this foam quickly fades to a sturdy edge layer and some small islands spinning around the surface of my glass.
Some scattered lattice as I swirl the glass, but not much sticks.
Aroma is big and malty, with a lot of molasses and brown sugar mixing with roasted malt and some dry oak notes. I get a little bourbon, light anice, and maybe some char notes too, but these are in the background. No hops anywhere. No fusol alcohol notes, but this does smell like a strong beer.
First sip reveals a smooth textured thicker bodied beer. The carbonation is fine and tingly, yet gentle too. Physical traits make this a pleasant experience for the drinker.
Flavor is all malt, with no hop presence that I can detect.
I get dark chocolate, brown sugar, molasses, bourbon up front, but this rolls to roasted malts and charred notes. I also get a little bit of warming booze on each swallow, but Im finding this big beer to be dangerously drinkable. The ABV is definitely not the center focus of this experience.
Really enjoying this one and glad to have tried it. I would certainly drink more of this beer if I came across it. Very nice big boozy stout!

A - Dark chocolate brown pour with thin but dense caramel colored lacing.

S - Very aromatic with strong barrel presence. Dark roasted chocolate, Bourbon, oak & oak char, and some booziness.

T - Strong barrel presence with Bourbon, charred oak, roasted chocolate, and cherry.

M - Big medium body and a little thin around the edges. Some alcohol warming on the way down.

O - This is a pretty fantastic beer.
