While at the Zugsee in zug, CH, the summer sun suggested I try the kanton's local product, baarer bier. their choice was quite simply a plain helles, with not much of a story to tell, because it unamazingly follows the guidelines to your average lager in both pour and smell, showing none of its own signs except for a bit around the taste, which in turn is a bit more metallic and sweet. that, yes, is also (for me) characteristical of a helles.

Why do I not rate it lower? because it came right on time on those sunny summer times at this small swiss city. It's a good cold thirst quencher. would I drink it in the winter? I'll stick to the schnapps with coffee and sugar.
