This is another gem from the Southend. They really have gotten some balls lately and tried to go out into the world of "specialty" brews. Big props to them. The only downside to this one was the appearance. It was nothing spectacular, in that the color was the regular amber/orange color, and the head was almost nonexistant. Other than that, this is an awesome brew. The smell was of a pumpkin pie type, with all spice, cinnamon, clove, and pumpkin. Before I had it I was scared that it was going to be some watered down macro crap, but this one delivered the goods. The taste was similar to the smell, but had more in the areas of the spices and pumpkin. This is one of the better brews that you can actually taste the pumpkin in it. Sure, the pumpkin wasn't the front driver, but it was there. The mouthfeel was silky and creamy, not all over carbonated like most beers go. I was very impressed with this offering and would love to shake the hands of the brewmaster for making this seasonal.
