Appearance: light amber, clear, high carbonation, small head
Smell: earthiness and malt
Taste: earth, some florals, and caramel...Not the most complex scotch ale I have had
Mouthfeel: very smooth, slightly bitter first tatse that gets to be more sweet
Drinkability: I could have two or three of these. It struck me an a nice and lighter Scotch Ale. True to the style, but not spectacular.

Looks like Southend has made another good brew. It seems, that since they started adding seasonals to the line up, their beers are getting better and better. The smell on this one was a nice buttery/malty smell, with a little hop to it, but nothing really out there, which is the way a Scottish is supposed to be I think. The taste was like most Scottish styles, but a little more refreshing and not soo in your face malty, which seems to be the most common amoungst these beers. I was really satisfied with this one and the biggest thing was that it was refreshing... very refreshing.
