A: On-tap at Southend Brewery. Had a golden yellow color and a clear consistency. There was a small amount if foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing.
S: Very muted aroma - only the malt really came through.
T: A lot of malt - especially in the finish - but not much else. Some hops and grain. Pretty thin. Tasted more like a pilsner than a blonde.
M: A decent amount of carbonation with a slick, oily finish.
O: Not a whole lot to recommend here. Might as well drink a Budweiser.

Had on tap at the south end brewery in charleston, sc. Clear dull golden with little lace and quarter finger head. Mostly sweet bread malt and not too strong. Flavor is more of a macro brewery pilsner than a blond. More sweet bread malt in the rate and subtle butter hops. Moderate to high carbonation and light body. Too much of a macro brewery beer for me. Also needs to be relabeled as a pilsner even if it was brewed as a blond.

This beer doesn't look like a blonde at all, more like a pilsner with no head. Reminded me on a Hieneken light a bit. Flavor is first honey-sweet, giving way to very slight caramel, grain husk, white bread, and rounding out with a slightly hop-bitter, but certainly not hop-flavor finish.
Mouthfeel consists of medium carbonation, light body, and a dry, astringent finish. The dryness in the finish makes you want another sip, and the flavor of this beer certainly isn't as bad as the look of it.

No head, but there is Belgian lace on the glass. Straw color and nearly clear.
Dry, light adjunct smell. This continues in the flavor which is strongly dry. Thin malt flavor and no hop. The aftertaste is odd, beyond my ability to describe. The body is very thin and highly carbonated.

Appearance: clear, light gold, small head, with big carbonation
wheat dominates the smell and taste
Mouthfeel: semi-sweet, smooth, and refreshing
Drinkability: I had this on a hot day and it hit the spot. While nothing exciting, it is not a bad beer either. I could session this, but feel they have better offerings.

Wow a blond ale. Now we are tallking. I had the light version first, why who knows so I went in for this and to be honest could not tell the difference. They were both very bad. This was was soo muted and washed out that you could barely tell what it was supposed to be. Light grain, and a touch fo diffuse malt, nothing again to write home about. The flavor was off, feel too light and slippery and just a mess all around. This brewery really underwhelmed.

Looks ok in the glass I guess. Aside from looks this beer bombs. Tasteless and odorless. I was really let down by this brew pub. They carry no other beers but bud and their own thus forcing this down your throat. I am very reasonable with my reviews but this place has obviously stopped caring about their beer. Good food though.

No aroma, no real malt character, very grainy. The appearance was very light, as was the carbonation. The mouthfeel was of a light lager- very thin and watery. Hop bitterness reminiscent of pesticide, making this beer virtually undrinkable- leading to an overall bad experience.

This one was just strange. It arrives in the glass looking for all the world like a light lager with added yellow color. However, the taste doesn't match up with the appearance at all -- it tastes like an ale, all right, and a much darker one at that -- and yet, not in an overly pleasing way. Just strange. I didn't know what to do with this one.

Had this Blonde on tap at the Southend Brewery. It poured a cloudy orange color with little to no head. No lace at all. There was almost no smell to this beer and the taste was a little too bland for me. I felt all the beers at this "brewery" were a bit bland, No body or aftertaste to any of them. Not impressed.

Yikes! The predominant flavor is soap in this weak tasting blonde. Its best attribute is the color (which closely resembles a pale ale?). Slight hop finish. This beer could ruin the open-mindedness of a pilsner drinker forced to order the lightest beer on the menu. Brewery, my ass!
