A round, roasted, full bodied brew, unearthed from medieval Scotland. Enjoy this dark, silky stout and its perfect blend of flaked oats and eight varieties of malted barley.

Pours a black color. 1/3 inch head of an off-tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of English malt, English hops, slight sweet malt, roasted malt, slight yeast, and a hint of oatmeal. Fits the style of an Oatmeal Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with a low carbonation level. There is also a noticeable dryness. Tastes of roasted malt, English hops, sweet malt, hint of yeast, and slight oatmeal. Overall, good appearance and feel, but aroma and body are more similar to an English Stout than an Oatmeal Stout and the complexity is low.
