The beer is brown with garnet highlights. Skim of beige foam. There is virtually no lacing.
The nose is of rye (spicy), bready malts with distant smoke (campfire).
The taste is slightly tangy from the rye. The beer is smoky and a bit sweet. Gets bolder as it warms.
The mouth has nice low carbonation. Easy drinker would be better with a bit more smoke. The rye shines in a nice way!
