I was glad to see this one still on tap. It was served in a standard straight pint. The beer is brown/red with a minimal brown head.
The beer smells of pine resin and some lightly roasted malt. Lots of pine/hops.
The taste is sweet and bitter more bitter than sweet (apologizes to Big Head Todd ....). Lots of pine resin with some caramel malts and bread that try but fails to truly balance. There is some alcohol heat at mid-glass.
The mouth has low carbonation and leaves an oily coating on your tongue and mouth.
