Beer bottle (33 cl.) purchased from the brewery on l'Ile de Ré 2014, first tasted in 2000.
Appearance : cloudy pale yellow color, with white foam head.
Smell : citrus aromas with spicy notes.
Taste & mouthfeel : yeasty and fruity flavor, with a light bitterness.
Overall : a good beer in the style Witbier, I remember in 2000 during first tasting a German white beer ?

My wife visited this little brewery on l'Ile de Ré and brought me back a gift box of 4 varieties.
A-Pull-top cap w/ring-never seen this before. Poured a hazy golden amber, and formed a thick but not overly dense head. Long, slender and steady streams of carbonation bead up the sides of the glass.
S-A complex bouquet of fruits, including pear, tangerine, and light fig. The spice notes are dominated by coriander and white pepper, and there is a faint herbal backdrop. Soft, fresh wheat rounds it out, and delicate hop bitterness offers balance.
T-Briefly sweet and fruity up-front with a nice rounded out mid-palate of soft wheat and spice. The finish is smooth and clean, and the light bitterness at the end keeps the palate refreshed.
M-Soft, velvety mouthfeel complemented by a nice moderate carbonation that invigorates the light-but-ample body, but not overly so.
D-The character of each flavor and aroma offers nice contrast throughout the drinking experience. This is an excellent summer session beer, and I lament having only one bottle.
