A-Interesting pull-top cap w/ring. Pours an amber w/reddish hues, reminiscent of apple cider. Unfiltered and hazy. Thin beige head dissipated in about two minutes, leaving cap that persisted nicely. No tracing.
S-Fruit, caramel, malt, prickly pear, hint grape, mild yeast, spice and earthy herbal/vegetal notes. Faint aroma of floral hops.
T&M-Malty backbone w/plenty of delicate fruit notes matching those in the aroma. Attack is rather sweet, but cedes to nuanced blend of herbal and light, spicy midpalate with earth tones. Carbonation is sturdy, and body is light-to-moderate, carrying the flavor well. Hint salt in finish, w/light hops. Balance is excellent.
D-Extremely smooth, thoroughly satisfying; a rare session beer w/layers of complexity and subtle flavors.
