Pours a fizzy dark tan head. Acts like soda, fizzing to almost nothing quite quickly. Black liquid is fairy opaque, some reddish tints around edges of glass.
Roasted barley aroma, hints of dried fruits.
Flavors are fairly light. Toasted grain, dark chocolate. Dry clean finish. Bitterness is quite light, no noticeable hop presence.
Velvety smooth mouthfeel, very light carbonation.
Very easy drinking for a porter with its smoothness and light taste. Alcohol well hidden.
