Drank this beer two years after its expiration date, and wasn't disappointed. An amber colour with a full head of foam. A full nose with overripe fruits like plums, orange and figs. These fruit flavours are blended with yeast and a brandy-like boozeness in the intense taste. Mouth feel is full and fizzy, due to the carb. Due to the shelf life, this is probably not a very reliable review, but it was nice nonetheless.

Clear amber in the glass, nut very foamy. finally it settles down to some prickly carbonation in the mouth. Aroma is pungent, almost. Very yeasty and strongly fruity with pear and cider in the nose. Wheaty but bitter taste.
This is such a powerfully flavored beer. It tastes like there is something of a wild yeast working at first, but the flavors of butterscotch, burnt apple, dark sugar, and plum skins take over the show. There is something peculiar in the smell that makes this less than drinkable. From the corked 750 ml bottle purchased at a wine shop in Troyes.

Good, smooth head, fairly good colour.
Though sounds like bubble bath. Luckily for it, there is no sound rating.
Aroma....really fruity and hoppy and amazing. Wow. The best aroma ever. Sweet and fruity and hoppy and like bananaman.
Taste..? A bit too carbon dioxidey. It does not bring out the flavors, like in the aroma. There is so much fizz, that the flavor has fizzed out, into my nose.
Therefore, it has lower taste.
Make it less fizzy..! How difficult is this..? It has the right raw materials, as it's aroma is better even than Duvel or anyone else.
As it rests, and the bubbles leave, even though much of the flavor is in the bubbles, it still improves. Bubbles destroy flavor, often.
Still, it's a pretty good beer overall, not the best, though it's up there in the top 400.
