Hard to call it a bourbon barrel aged imperial stout as this is quite far from the Amercian versions of the style.
Very spicy with mostly peppercorn, the beer acidity is a lot about the red berries. Somehow vinous the oak presence shows you it was aged but hard to tell that was bourbon barrels. The beer shows balance and some chocolate notes but no big roastiness nor a thick mouthfeel I'd expect in an BBA Imperial Stout. I prefered the brandy version
