33cl bottle. Dark mahogany pour, clear, with a tall tan head with decent retention. Notes of vanilla, artificial flavours, light roasted malts, sugar and candy. Medium body with medium carbonation and a sweet and medicinal bitter finish.

Got this one at the Duvel guy.
From a bottle into a snifter

16*P
APPEARANCE: Clear dark brown pour yields a 2+ finger, medium looking, slightly foamy tan head with great retention. Clear dark brown body with medium levels of carbonation evident. Head swiss-cheeses up and slowly fades to a full cap and leaves some foamy lacing on the glass.
SMELL: Sweet vanilla cream. Like the name suggests. Vanilla ice cream, milk chocolate and sweet candy aromas. Pretty nice, though there’s a touch of butterscotch and yeast in there as well.
TASTE: Not quite the same effect that the nose had, and the odd stuff comes out really strong. Butterscotch, vanilla cream and milk chocolate, with a somewhat artificial and plastic-like flavors up front on this one. More at the swallow, with a bolder and lingering finish of artificial vanilla and plastic character, yeasty flavors and a slight metallic note. Not all that pleasant. Didn’t finish it.
PALATE: Medium body and carbonation. Creamy on the palate, goes down fine and finishes slightly mouth-coating. Unfortunately those off flavors linger.
OVERALL: A disappointment, unfortunately. Not a fan of this one. The idea was great, but it came across as artificial and plastic-like. It seems like there was some unhappy yeast in there as well, which is unfortunate. Not something I’ll want to try again. Think this is the only Emelisse beer I haven’t bothered to finish.
