Got this one from Doopie. Cheers!

26.5*P
APPEARANCE: Pours a 1+ finger, medium looking, creamy off-white head with very good retention. Hazy maroon red/brown body with no real carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a full cap and clings to the glass as it recedes. Bubbly wisp remains and leaves some decent lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Toffee, butterscotch, red fruits and lots of oak on the nose. Very woody with some spirit as well. Hints of vanilla and cream from the wood. Bold and alcoholic.
TASTE: Woody and oak flavors up front with some toffee and red fruits as well. A light hint of vanilla comes in as well, moving into a woody and alcoholic swallow. A bold and lingering finish of wood, whisky, some definite toffee and butterscotch, light hints of vanilla and a touch of milk chocolate. Quite alcoholic and the oak is definitely a main player. Lots going on and packs a punch.
PALATE: Medium body and quite creamy on the palate for the style. Smooth with enough weight, goes down fine with a bit of a burn and finishes sticky on the palate. Some heat lingers.
OVERALL: Good stuff. This one is bold, flavorful and has plenty going on. The wood is certainly a major player here but the base barelywine, as always, acts as a sturdy and stable anchor, keeping everything in place. The look and feel are right up there with the best of them as well, being thicker and fuller than most in the style. This might not be the whopper that the Heaven & Hill Barleywine was, but it’s certainly top class. Well done guys! Highly recommended.
