One of the most pleasant surprises lately. (I took this one not being familiar at all with Emelisse beers.) Smell: caramel, plums, figs (reminded me of dubbel). Taste: moderately sweet/bitter/sour. By sweetness reminded me of certain winter warmers and scottish ales, by bitterness of certain red ales (Boont Amber, 5AM Saint, St. Rogue Red Ale). I would really like to buy this again, and probably will buy a bottle extra for my girlfriend which likes fruit-lambics. Very tasty and original. Don't hesitate.

Bottle: Poured a deep hazy copper color ale with a medium size foamy head with medium retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light bitter stale hops is not really interesting. Taste is also dominated by stale bitter hops with lightly sweet caramelized malt backbone. Body is average with medium carbonation. This one is lacking seriously a hops punch and some character.
