Poured from a hand pump cask into a goblet at the Lazyboy Saloon in White Plains, NY.
A - Black with slight ruby hues. Tan head with minal lacing or carbonation.
S - Smokey burnt coffee aroma.
T - Smokey flavor throughout. Starts off slightly sweet with hints of chocolate and finishes with a slightly metallic finish I have come to associate with all of the Otter Creek products I have sampled up to this point.
MF&D - Full bodied porter. Coated the mouth well, and very drinkable. I would definitely drink this one again.

This beer looked great right from the start. Poured dark brown, almost black, creamy with a 1/4 inch tan foam head. Heavy, sticky lacing throughout. No visible carbonation to speak of.
The smell was pleasant. Smokey with a strong presence of coffee.
The taste was phenomenal getting the rare 5.0 designation. It starts sweet, smokey, and malty with hints of espresso, dark chocolate and toffee. It finishes with the same sweet smoke combination that it starts off with.
The mouthfeel was also very impressive although I believe the serving style(cask) strongly helps that. It is a little thick for a porter medium to heavy almost equivalent to a stout. It is both creamy and sticky both coating the mouth and sticking to it long after the swallow. No carbonation to speak of which allows this beer to go down almost too smooth. If you ever get the chance to try this one jump on it. If you get to try it in the cask jump harder.
