This little gem has never been reviewed before! Only available at the Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes, VT. Picked up a six pack while I was there. Says on the (rather bleak black, white and tan label) that it is brewed specially for the club by Otter Creek Brewing in Middlebury, VT. Poured into my pint glass a deep gold with tangerine highlights, appealing. One finger of light cream colored head, faded after a little while to a clingy ring. Good retention. Left a single, thin ribbon of lacing after each sip. Pleasant aromas of herbal hops, notes of dry malt underneat. Again the hops are the first flavor forward on my tongue, slightly bitter and tart. Some cereal malt backbone comes in next, slightly woody, hints of nuts and typical of an American Pale Ale. Medium body and carbonation, coats my tongue, lingering bitter finish. Classic in style and sessionable.
