This beer is contract brewed specifically and only for the Lincoln Inn in Essex Junction, VT by the Middlebury crew and can only be found on-tap at the Inn. Off the tap the beer was a deep gold color with a one-finger head of Dijon-mustard colored head. The retention was average but it did leave bands of fine lacing. The aroma was light, equal parts malt and hops with some hints of sour yeast. The flavors were similarly balanced, toasted malt and some woody notes accompanied by a slight hop bitterness on the finish. Similar in many ways to Otter Creek's Copper Ale. The mouthfeel was a little watery and slightly over-carbonated for the light/medium body. Still, it could be called sessionable and is worth of try if you happen to be in the Essex area.
