This brew is a light chestnut with a very pretty and stable white head. Some cloudiness. The beer smells most prominently of fruit and spice. Pear, peach, pepper....some faint yeast in the background. Some yeastiness and tartness. Definitely Belgian. The slight tartness comes out in the taste as well, along with a little alcohol. Moderate sweetness. Could be a little more malt presence. The mouthfeel is really where this beer falls short. It's not a full enough beer for the set-up. Somewhat watery and a little of a let-down. Regardless, the beer is still fairly drinkable. In the end, though, a middle of the road Belgian dark.

Amber color, quite dark. Beautiful color. Light beige foam. Beautiful appearance.
Fruty smell, quite pleasant, with red berry fruit. Malty background. Maybe candy sugar. And bitter almond.
The taste is quite similar, quite sweet, quite warm and malty. Again fruity notes, and something woody. It left a quite dry mouth. Lightly astringent.
Decent, nothing to remember, a bit anonymous.
Astringent in the aftertaste, maybe too much.

No freshness date carved. Nice presentation with average head and amberbrown beer with some haze. Nose is lots of sour cherries, honey, candy, maltyness, litle wood and overall strange but ok. As is taste that again has sour cherries in nice milky cream with honey and a nice wooden touch of oak. Balanced and IMO good "wild" brew most certainly somthing else as the regular and IMO tasty and well worth a try.
