Coming in a short 330ml brown bottle, with a freshness index unmarked on the front label, served chilled in Hapkin's deep tulip-shaped bowl.

A: pours a murky, dark reddish amber hue coming with a medium-thick layer of off-white foam and semi-lively carbonation that settles in time.
S: most distinctive is the smell - it's like a spicy black tea infused with prune- and orange-juice, overripe bananas, unknown flower petals and leafy herbs, and nutmeg-like spiciness - all in one, with a very "blurred" structure.
T: an assertive nutmeg-like and woody spicy taste constantly stays aside the main theme of mildly sour prune tea, amber malts, boiled red beans, backed by a moderate touch of floral esters. The decent sour-fruity finish comes with some powdery yeastiness, a lactic touch of lactose drink plus very very little bitterness.
M&D: quite refreshing, with very fine carbonation at play to go with the medium body and almost no presence of alcohol. It's very hard to make of the overall performance of this ale against any other ales remotely linked to this one, because the unique yeasty touch has made it truly "un-categorise-able"... Worth a try, once in one's life time.
