Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear golden color with a big foamy head of fizzy white foam. The head fades over a moderate time to leave a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a bready smell with a bit of caramel and some grain and corn. Along with these smells comes some other notes of grass and a bit of hay.
Taste- The taste begins with a bready flavor mixed with some other flavors of a caramel sweetness and some creamy tastes. As the taste advances some corn syrup tastes and a little bit of a grainy and grassy flavor comes to the tongue. These tastes all meld quite nicely in the end, leaving one with a very easy going and quite easy drinking taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the creamier and chewier side for a brew of only 5 % abv. with a carbonation level that is rather high. For the cream, corn, and caramel (three c’s) tastes of the brew the slightly thicker feel is quite nice, all while the slightly higher carbonation level is rather refreshing, with it making it nice brew for the warmer summer day.
Overall – This was a very approachable and very easy drinking, yet flavorful brew. I rather enjoyed this beer. It makes for a good summer, more session style brew.
