MRBC’s Oktoberfest is a traditional lager, generally released in September to bring in the month of October. This rich malty lager has a distinct balance between hop bitterness and full, malty flavor. It imparts a distinct noble, traditional hop flavor, while revealing a rich, malty taste. This brew reigns as the most popular of all seasonal beer styles.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served an orange color with a tiny head of white foam. The head fades super-fast leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of a bready and caramel smell mixed with a little bit of a harvest fruit smells. Some light hints of a grassy hop are there as well, rounding out the aroma.
Taste – The taste begins with a moderately roasted bready taste mixed with a good showing of some caramel and harvest fruit sweetness of apple and pear. As the taste advances some grass and hay join the taste profile along with a bit of peach. In the end, some of the fruit sweetness fades ever so slightly highlighting the roasted bread, hop and caramel a bit more, and making for a rather easy and moderate Oktoberfest taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is slightly lighter in terms of thickness with a carbonation level that is on the average side. For the abv. and style of the brew, a slightly chewier feel would have been slightly better, but overall the feel was pretty decent.
Overall – A good and tasty brew overall. A good Oktoberfest to at least try if you get the chance.

this one poured into a pint glass a copper amber color, very clean and crisp looking, with a small amount to white head
the smell is nice and caramely malts with maybe the munich malt toasty sweetness and the typical lager yeast aroma
the flavor is lightly fruity/estery and also toasty with faint nobel hop varieties in the background with a balance that leans towards sweetness more so than bitter although both are present.
this one finishes niceley, with a light to medium body and a subtle sweetness that fades out and leaves the lagery type flavor in the mouth. a good expamle of this style and well worth the trip out to the brewery if you're in the neighborhood.
